Posted in Uncategorized by Shirlz at October 19th, 2010 • No Comments »

I know what you’re all thinking. Why isn’t the site being updated? Well in brief, I’ve just started university, and I’ve been swamped with work. Therefore, I am looking for people to help me catch with EVERYTHING we have missing on Glee-Fan.Com. I plan on using the site to promote things related to Glee & its cast, and I would like for people to help update!

I’m looking for experienced webmasters/misses that are big fans of Glee, and have experience with WordPress, Coppermine and FTP/Cpanel. If you’re added to the site, you’ll have access to the press releases I receive, so you can see some exclusives before anyone else!

If you’re interested in helping out, please email me via admin@glee-fan.com

We’ve got an exclusive look at the upcoming GQ Magazine article/cover which features Glee stars, Lea Michele, Cory Monteith & Dianna Agron! Check out the sneak peek below:

…ON NEWSSTANDS NATIONWIDE – OCTOBER 26, 2010

NEW YORK – Glee, the sing-along comedy about high school theater geeks has quickly become the most popular show on television. Now, in it’s second season, the gay-positive, anti-stereotyping, song-and-dance TV sensation has spawned hit soundtrack albums, a sold-out concert tour, a Golden Globe award, and a passionate fan base of self-professed “Gleeks,” propelling the cast further into stardom with every episode. GQ’s Alex Pappademas sits down with stars Dianna Agron, Cory Monteith, and Lea Michele to discuss their relationships with their characters, cast mates, the racy GQ photo shoot, and the “no-trailer-sex” rule on set:

Lea Michele on people’s insisting she get a nose job:
“I was one of the only girls in my high school that didn’t get one. And if anybody needed it, I probably did. But my mom always told me, growing up, ‘Barbra Streisand didn’t get a nose job. You’re not getting a nose job.’ And I didn’t. Fuck those people. That’s why I’m proud to be on a positive show and to be a voice for girls and say, ‘You don’t need to look like everybody else. Love who you are.’”

Dianna Agron on the shoot and rumors that she and Michele are real life lovers:
“When it was just Lea and me, I was like, ‘We’re in skimpy clothes, we’re up against each other. This is feeding those rumors.’ I’ve never been shot in so little clothing.”

Cory Monteith on growing up in Canada and dropping out of high school:
“You have to really look to get into trouble in Victoria, but I was industrious. Skipping school. Drinking. All that kind of crap. Things started off innocent like that. I definitely found myself in some places that I’m very fortunate I came back from…. The last thing I want to do is kind of imply to readers in high school that you too can drop out and be an actor and get on a big show and be -famous and make a shitload of money.”

Full Blog Revamp THIS MONTH!
Posted in Site by Shirlz at September 3rd, 2010 • No Comments »

Hey everyone! I know the site has been dead for the past couple of months, and I apologise for that profusely. I’m currently working on a full revamp of the site in preparation for Season 2 of GLEE! Are you excited? I sure am! I saw the previews, and I seriously am pumped to see what happens with New Directions!

I’m looking for people to help out with the site, as it’s going to be crazy and I’m going off to university, so time for me will be limited. Are you experienced with fansites and a GLEEK? Feel free to email me via admin@glee-fan.com to apply for a spot as a blogger on Glee-Fan.Com! I’ve got a tonne of things ready to be added to the gallery, and once I get my copy of the full season 1 DVD, I’ll add all of the missing captures to the gallery.

I am also going to work on a new layout soon, but I need suggestions as to who to feature. Would you like one Glee star, or many? Comment on this post with your ideas, and I’ll do my best to make this a must-go-to-place for Glee!

The cast of Glee has been very bust lately appearing on a variety of TV shows and talk shows to do interviews.  Here are some of the recent interviews.

Jenna Ushkowitz, Kevin McHale & Matthew Morrison: Alan Carr Chatty Man

Matthew Morrison: BBC Breakfast

Matthew Morrison, Amber Riley & Chris Colfer: Friday Night with Jonathan Ross

Matthew Morrison: Loose Women

Matthew Morrison: T4

Jane Lynch, Jenna Ushkowitz & Chris Colfer: Monte Carlo TV Festival

Glee has a following of extremely dedicated fans.  Many have compared the fanbase of Glee to that of the Twilight Saga and Harry Potter.  Now Glee has sparked a new era of camps, Glee Camp.

Inspired by the overwhelming popularity of the musical comedy-drama on the Fox network, dozens of theater groups and arts organizations in Chicago and across the country have created “Glee” summer camps for kids using music and choreography from the hit show. “Glee” camps have formed in North Carolina, Florida, Arizona, Indiana and Utah.

In the Chicago area, “Glee” camps at the Circle Theatre in Forest Park and the Children’s Theatre of Elgin just wrapped up their June sessions. At least 10 other “Glee” camps are scheduled for July and August, with some already sold out. Christian Youth Theater, for example, just sold out its “Glee” camps in Cary and Wheaton after enrolling 150 young people ages 11 to 17. The group has additional camps running in Arlington Heights, Gurnee and Rockford.

“Glee” camps are for budding stars usually from 8 to 17 years old, and run for one or two weeks, culminating in a final performance.

But each camp differs in how much “Glee” they actually put in their program. Some theater groups are writing original scripts using characters, storylines and music. Most other “Glee” camps have decided to focus solely on the music and dance, avoiding issues raised on the show such as teen pregnancy, disability and homosexuality.

Camp directors said “Glee’s” appeal is due to several factors, including its wide range of music that covers show tunes, classic rock, pop and hip-hop. Others praise the show’s diverse cast of characters at the fictional William McKinley High School in Lima, Ohio, including Rachel Berry, the endearing, but overbearing Jewish diva determined to be a Broadway star, and Finn Hudson, the football jock who struggles to balance his macho image with his love for singing.
