Chord Overstreet makes a throw during the 2011 Taco Bell All-Star Legends & Celebrity Softball Game held at Chase Field on Sunday (July 10) in Phoenix, Arizona.

The 22-year-old actor tweeted his excitement for the game, saying “gettin ready for mlb allstar weekend in arizona!!!! gonna be a blast!”

“Gettin ready to do some schooling at softball,” Chord tweeted at the start of the game.

While Chord was not made a series regular on Glee for the third season, he reportedly is still welcome on the show and producers hope he’ll show up for filming, according to TVLine.

The high school misfits of Glee traded in their khakis and sneakers for designer duds at InStyle’s party to celebrate the hit Fox show. At the Sunset Tower Hotel’s Terrace Bar in West Hollywood, they took turns mugging, well, gleefully for the camera as shots of the stars, including Jane Lynch, Lea Michele and Cory Monteith, flashed on flat-screen TVs. “We’re a family,” said Dijon Talton, one of Glee’s singing footballers. “The chemistry is 100 percent real.” Don’t forget to tune in to Fox tonight at 9:28 p.m. EST for Glee’s spring premiere! Some of the cast members of hit show Glee partied in the Jet nightclub at the Mirage Hotel, to celebrate Naya Rivera’s birthday.

The birthday girl plays cheerleader Santana Lopez in the show and was joined in Las Vegas by Kevin McHale (Artie), Mark Salling (Puck), Jenna Ushkowitz (Tina) and Heather Morris (Brittany).

On a side note, I love Santana! I got my fingers crossed to see more of her when the show comes back this spring. Hopefully we learn more about her relationships with current “sexting” buddy Puck and also current **** buddy Brittany.
