I’ve decided to create a new weekly feature called The Gleekzine, which does exactly what it says on the tin. We’re going to summarise all the latest news, promotions and other Glee related stuff in one post! If you’d like anything promoted here, email admin@glee-fan.com. GROFF THE PHOTOG
Glee star, Jonathon Groff, was let loose with a camera behind the scenes of the finale of Glee! He sent along 14 awesome photos featuring the likes of Matthew Morrison, Jane Lynch & Lea Michele. He adds his own commentary to each photo and gives some details on tonight’s show! Details Magazine sent along the link to pass onto the Gleeks, so check them out by clicking the link.

ANOTHER DAY, ANOTHER LEA COVER
Women’ Health magazine sent along word that Lea Michele is gracing their June cover! Earlier today, we posted a sneak peek of the cover, and if you visit the website above, you can view a preview of the photoshoot, and you will not be disappointed! Here is a preview of the interview:

On her life in NY and LA: “Los Angeles has been good to me. New York is who I am… It took me a long time to put together my group of friends in New York. Also, every member of my family lives within 30 minutes [of each other] there.”

On the whirwind of fame: “I need some me time. I have to remember to rest, because I have a natural energy and I don’t want to burnout”

On her commitment to a vegan diet: “My idea of heaven used to be relaxing at home with a cheese plate and champagne.”

Then she read the diet book Skinny Bitch “and it slapped me in the face”
“Coming from an Italian family, you can imagine (they) couldn’t understand. But they respected my decision.”

On Sunday Dinners with her family: “All of us: Grandma, Grandpa, aunts, uncles. I have 19 cousins just on one side!” says Lea, who flies home “every chance I get.”

Her “I made it” moment: “I went out to dinner with my boyfriend, and Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem were leaving the restaurant as we were going in, [Penelope] was like, ‘Eez eet you? Are you dee girl I’ve been zeeing at all of dezz [Award] tings?’ ”

CHRIS & AMBER TO APPEAR ON JONATHON ROSS SHOW!
Whilst flicking through my latest edition of New! Magazine in the UK, I found that Glee’s awesome Kurcedes (we coined it!), Amber Riley & Chris Colfer, will appear on The Jonathon Ross Show! The show airs June 18th on BBC at 10.35pm. I’ll be watching it, and will give a report of sorts the following day.

AMBER’S IDOL EXPERIENCE BY RANDY JACKSON!
Speaking of the fierce Amber Riley, ExtraTV conducted an interview with American Idol judge, Randy Jackson, where he spoke about Amber’s Idol audition:

‘Glee’ Star Was Rejected by ‘Idol’

It’s hard to believe that “Glee’s” Amber Riley, who plays Mercedes Jones, was once rejected by “American Idol.” “Extra” caught up with “Idol” judge Randy Jackson on Saturday at the Chrysalis Butterfly Ball, where he told us Riley didn’t even make it past the producers audition.

“I’m honestly, really excited for Ryan Murphy and the whole ‘Glee’ cast,” said Jackson. “Yo, that girl Amber Riley, she I guess ,I didn’t know this, she didn’t make it to us. She auditioned for ‘Idol’ and got rejected. She’s like the lead singer the lead star of ‘Glee’ and let me tell you something America, this girl is talented and she can really sing.” Riley was rejected by the “Idol” producers and never had the opportunity to audition for the judges. “I feel ok because she didn’t make it to me. I didn’t reject her,” said the judge.

That is very hard to believe to say the least!

JANE LYNCH VS THE MAC

DO SOMETHING AND VOTE GLEE!
DoSomething.org and VH1 have partnered to present The Do Something Awards to honor young people’s commitment to social change. The Do Something Awards will air live July 19, 2010 on VH1 and will be hosted by Jane Lynch!

This year, there are also celebrity categories, which spotlight areas of and individuals in the entertainment industry that continue to dedicate time and resources to activism and charity projects. The nominees include influential actors, musicians, athletes, and more!
