Stage and screen star Jane Lynch will appear at the first installment of Newsmakers at the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center (208 West 13th Street) on November 9 at 7pm. The conversation series celebrates important figures in the arts and politics.

Lynch — a writer, actress, comedian and singer — currently stars in the Fox comedy Glee as aggressive cheerleader coach, Sue, and can be seen on stage in Delia and Nora Ephron’s Love, Loss, and What I Wore playing Off-Broadway at the West Side Theatre. Lynch’s other credits include touring with The Second City comedy troupe and appearances in films such as Julie and Julia, Best in Show, A Mighty Wind, and For Your Consideration.
